To Be Hero X is the third installment from the To Be Hero series after To Be Hero and To Be Heroine. Of course, the anime is based on superheroes and superpowers but with an obvious twist that makes this anime stand out from the crowd.
Here, the heroes depend on the trust of the people to become heroes. In simple terms, the people are the ones who create a hero in this anime and celebrate them as the knight in shining armour against all odds and darkness. No, it’s not that simple actually.
To understand with an example, if people believe that a person can fly then he flies and if they stop believing then he doesn’t. The trust and faith of the masses in the superheroes are measured via a wristband.
Heroes are ranked based on this data(I know the data thing sounds a little boring but it is what it is). At an interval of two years, these rankings are recalculated on the basis of a hero competition. And yes, Hero X is the number one position out of all the rankings.
