Demon Slayer Season 4: Hashira Training Arc

Demon Slayer, the prodigy of the new generation, has skyrocketed in the charts since the release of Hashira Training Arc. Fans are in a frenzy due to the heavy impact of the first two episodes. However, curiosity kills!! Which Hashira training is the toughest? What is the purpose of Hashira training, and what will it lead to in the aftermath?

Furthermore, this arc is a mere beginning of the mess that will happen at the end of the series. So, Anime watchers beware, as this article is on its way to becoming the hub of spoilers!!

Without further ado, let’s dive into the world of Demon Slayer and explore more about Hashira Training!!

Which Hashira Training is the toughest in the Hashira Training Arc?

1. Gyomei Himejima

Gyomei Himejima- Hashira Training

The stone Hashira initiates one of the toughest trainings in Demon Slayer Season 4. However, being the strongest Hashira, Gyomei did have a past full of pity. Later in season 4, Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Genya, who serve as the main disciples under Gyomei, complete the harsh training by the end of the season. Furthermore, Himejima’s training is all about physical strength and endurance, which will help the demon slayer corps fight the upper ranks without hesitation. Gyomei’s one of those Hashira in the generations who achieved his rank within two months.

All in all, the training did include some nerve-wracking tasks like withstanding a cold waterfall for endurance, Carrying heavy logs for immense strength, and pushing a heavy boulder from one town to another (Well!! Again, for monstrous strength).

However, our lads withstand the harsh training under Gyomei. Moreover, our boy Tanjiro gets huge respect from Gyomei for prioritizing ordinary lives in the Sword Smith Village. If you ever doubt a blind Hashira!! Let me tell you; he will obliterate the soul out of Kokushibo!!

2. Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi Shinazugawa- hashira Training

Sanemi sure creates hype in the Demon Slayer universe with his immense strength and arrogance for sure. However, many of the fans hate him due to his temper issues. I adore him because of his latent abilities and skills on the battlefield, which we will witness later in the infinite Castle Arc. No matter how strong you are, Sanemi will scan your inside out and challenge you for a fierce battle.

Sanemi also plays an essential part in killing Muzan and Himejima, Tomioka, and Tanjiro in the all-out war. However, Sanemi’s training is on the same page as Himejima. Sanemi also focuses on endurance along with brute strength. But as a wind Hashira, speed plays a major factor in outrunning any upper rank.

3. Obanai Iguro

Obanaai Iguro- Hashira Training

Demon Slayer does have a vast category of characters. But this here always captivates me because of his purpose as a Hashira. Moreover, his enigmatic presence always increases the rich tapestry of the Demon Slayer universe. Iguro, amongst other Hashiras, had a horrific past. With a physical disorder along with his mouth slit apart. Obanai becomes a strong Hashira.

Furthermore, in Season 4, he contributes to the Hashira Training. A master swordsman, Obanai trains his disciples in Swordsmanship and unique abilities to strike from an enemy’s blind spots. Tough, Tanjiro somehow completes his training. The pain reflected on our boy unveils Obanai Iguro’s hax abilities and combatant skills.

4. Kanroji Mitsuri

Kanroji Mitsuri- Hashira Training

Don’t be amazed by her beauty!! Mitsuri, the love Hashira, is compatible enough to match pace against Gyomei, Sanemi, and Kyojuro. Well, why not? She’s the one who rips off Muzan’s intestine with her bare hands. Since Mitsuri got her Demon Slayer Mark, her role in season 4 is to find a reasonable way to reignite the mark. However, her training regime is also terrible in other ways. Due to her physical ability, Mitsuri defies physicality and stretches out her trainees to the extent that she can. To improve flexibility, Tanjiro, along with others, danced to the beat of the music.

Why is Hashira Training Important?

Hashira Training Importance

As the final battle arrives against Muzan and his servants, Hashira needs to undergo immense training to boost their health and increase their individual strength, speed, and endurance. However, the Hashira Training also focuses on manifesting the Demon Slayer Mark (though it is a curse!!).

Hashira Training helped Tanjiro rework his sword skills, which helped him avenge Rengoku. Moreover, Gyomei’s harsh training helped Zenitsu to stabilize his limbs in the battle against Kaigaku (Man!! Zenitsu even created his own 7 thunder breathing techniques by himself)

Despite all these hardships, the training goes in vain for many characters, as they die while defeating Muzan. The only ones left behind are our menaces, along with Sanemi and Tomioka. Don’t worry, as you will get a chance to witness the heroic deaths of each Hashira against Kokushibo, Douma, and Muzan.

Conclusion

The Demon Slayer continues with astounding plot and character development. However, the Demon Slayer’s backstories will always give an ache, just like Sabito’s did in the second episode, as the narrative continues towards the fierce battle. Fans anticipate the arrival of new episodes.
