Ninja Kamui is going to be the next big thing in the anime industry. The preview trailer of the anime was dropped on Adult Swim’s YouTube channel pretty recently. And another reason behind the high expectations of the anime is that it is backed by Toonami and directed by Jujutsu Kaisen fame Sunghoo Park. The sneak peek via the preview trailer promises to take the viewers on an adrenaline-fueled journey with high-octane action sequences. Apart from that, the premiere of Ninja Kamui will be held on February 10, 2024.
Apart from getting the JJK director, the anime is blessed with other industry stars like Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai fame) are behind character designs; E&H productions, along with Sola Entertainment, will manage the production. Ninja Kamui Early Preview details
The two minute trailer kicks off by showing a person running towards or maybe away from something (something very dangerous, maybe). As soon as he comes to a halt in an alley and a smoke grenade is thrown toward him. The trailer will make you jump in curiosity with the way we get to see the action overdose. The action scenes are mind-bending, and to an extent, they will remind you of John Wick.
The most intriguing part is that the character, who looks like a corporate guy in the beginning, easily outclasses most of the assassins that come behind him. The kinfeplay shown in Ninja Kamui early preview is something that you are going to adore (only if you love violence). Nonetheless, the trailer takes a wild turn when the character is attacked and pulled into the air. When he reaches a certain height, we can see a sturdy assassin on the roof. The red gem in the skull of the assassin gave a super deadly vibe.
The assassin chokes the character shown at the beginning and drops his body on the ground. And there comes a scene where he beheads the injured character. The only detail we get to see about the deceased is that he is a male. The preview has been created in a super smart way. It is gripping but doesn’t share any details regarding what we are going to see in the future.
Ninja Kamui: What about the story? [Spoilers Ahead]
Ninja Kamui revolves around Joe Higan, who is a Nunekin. He is a former Ninja who left his clan and doesn’t want to cross paths with his violent past anymore. He lives in rural America along with his family. Everything was going well until one fine night, he got confronted by his organization. They were in full mood to take revenge for his betrayal. The story goes on a downward spiral from here as his family gets killed in the ambush, and he is the only survivor of the attack. The anime will move forward with Joe acquiring his old identity, Ninja Kamui, and eradicate the people who were involved in the attack on his family.
