One of the most popular manga series, Wistoria, is finally getting an anime adaptation. Written by the creator of Is it Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?, Wistoria: Wand and Sword got the first key visuals along with a teaser and the cast details. Kohei Amasaki is going to play the role of Will Serfort, and Akira Sekine will play Elfaria Albis Serfort. There are multiple characters in the Wistoria: Wand and Sword manga. The characters from the Ligarden Magic Academy are Colette, Ignor, Julius, Iris, Will, Zion, Cauldron, Mike, Liana, Elisa, Workner, etc. There are two enemy characters in the manga as well – Headless and Assassin. Speculation is that we will get to see a lot of them, and from them, in the anime adaptation of Wistoria: Wand and Sword.

Will Serfort, the main lead of the manga, is willing to keep his promise to his childhood friend by becoming a Magia Vander, a title bestowed to the one who sits at the top of the Wizard’s Tower. Nonetheless, he is not able to perform even the most basic spells. He is left to face off dungeon monsters in order to get credits at Ligarden Magical Academy. And his misery doesn’t end there as he is now in a situation where he has to put his sword skills for a caliber check against a professor who is more of a bully.


The manga-based review suggests that it has a great storyline blessed with more than fantastic artwork. The way the story unfolds for Will Serfort would grip from the first very minute. Until now, there has been no confirmation regarding the exact release date of the anime. Nevertheless, expectations are that we will get to know more about the same as soon as the launch month approaches.
